Museum of local history Gransee
The local history museum vividly recounts the town's history with lovingly designed dioramas and a model of the town from around 1930. A sick room from the time when the building was used as a hospital and a Queen Louise salon complete the exhibition.
The neighbouring Ruppiner Tor is used for art exhibitions in summer. The Ruppiner Gate Tower and the Powder Tower are accessible, the key is available at the local history museum.
Guided tours of the town are also organised through the local history museum and can be booked there in advance. You are welcome to store your bicycle and/or luggage with us during your city tour (during opening hours).
The three exhibition sites - the local history museum, the town gate and the powder tower - focus on prehistory and early history, rural life and the history of crafts and everyday life in the old district of Gransee.
