Barrier-free

Even with a handicap, a holiday can be enjoyed and, above all, actively organised. Various offers can be used barrier-free in the Brandenburg Lake District and wheelchair users will find accommodation in the region specially tailored to their needs.

The youth hostel at the Ravensbrück memorial and memorial site and the Himmelpfort wheelchair guesthouses offer accommodation for the disabled. Boat trips also start from Himmelpfort with the wheelchair boat "Harmonie", which can accommodate up to four wheelchair users. A ride on the trolley between Fürstenberg/Havel and Lychen is also no obstacle for wheelchair users.

The Rensch company also offers barrier-free excursions into nature with its carriages. The moor adventure trail at Barschsee or selected routes in the Stechlin running park are also accessible to wheelchair users. Bathing fun with barrier-free access to the water is possible at Haussee in Himmelpfort and at the outdoor pool at Röblinsee in Fürstenberg/Havel.

The Mildenberg Brickworks Park, the Stechlin Nature Park House in Menz, the Monastery Barn in Zehdenick, the Glass Museum in Neuglobsow or the exhibition "Welcome to Lake Stechlin" in the Stechlinsee Centre in Neuglobsow are not just for bad weather, but are also worth a visit when the sun is shining.

The tourist information offices will be happy to provide you with further and up-to-date information for a barrier-free holiday.
