Old raft path

The tour leads up the Havel through a charming and natural landscape with green meadows, swampy alder forests and thick belts of reeds and water lilies. Along the way, there are opportunities for rewarding detours into secluded corners and quiet bays of Lake Wangnitz and Lake Drewen, so that the tour can be extended to two days.

Start: Fürstenberg/Havel
Destination : Wesenberg

Arrival:

• Public transport: From Berlin-Gesundbrunnen take the RE5 to Fürstenberg/Havel.
• Car: In Berlin, take the A111 and change to the B96 at the Oranienburg intersection. Then follow this until Fürstenberg/Havel.

Departure:

• Public transport: From Wesenberg walk (approx. 33 min.) to Neustrelitz main station. There take the RE5 in the direction of Berlin and go through to Berlin-Gesundbrunnen.
• Car: From Wesenberg take the B198 in the direction of Neustrelitz and then change to the B96. Driving on the B96 in the direction of Oranienburg, change to the A111 and then enter Berlin.

Route: from Fürstenberg/Havel to Wesenberg via Röblinsee, Havel, Ziernsee, Ellbogensee, Großer Priepertsee, Finowsee and Woblitzsee

Shore leave:

• Fürstenberg/Havel: town church, fish canoe pass, Rvensbrück memorial site
• Priepert: Half-timbered church
• Wesenberg: late Gothic parish church, castle ruins, toy museum
