Bathing area in the Havelpark in Fürstenberg/Havel

The Havelpark in the east of Fürstenberg/Havel is surrounded by three bodies of water: Lake Baalen laps at the banks in the west, Lake Schwedt in the north and the Havel flows along in the east. At the northern end, a wooden bridge for pedestrians and cyclists leads across to the town centre of Fürstenberg/Havel. The landscape conservation area is an island of tranquillity in the immediate vicinity of the town.

There is a small but nice bathing place on the shore of Lake Baalen. Coming from the city over the pedestrian bridge, after a few meters a small path leads down to the shore on the right. After only a few meters, the bathing area with the narrow strip of natural beach is reached. Benches provide seating and a fitness machine is available for exercising after or before the swim. The surrounding trees provide shade. The park can only be accessed on foot or by bike, the nearest parking spaces are beyond the bridge in the center of Fürstenberg/Havel. The bathing area is unguarded. Bathing here is at your own risk.
