Bathing area at the Roofensee in Menz

Here in Menz, too, you are once again surprised at how many beautiful corners Brandenburg has to offer. The small town between Rheinsberg, Fürstenberg and Gransee lies on the Roofensee, whose clear water shimmers blue-turquoise in the sun.

At the bathing area you will find a sunbathing lawn, rubbish bins and a toilet block. But that's all you need for a nice bathing day. There are plenty of shady spots thanks to the tall trees.

The way to the bathing area is not so easy to find, there are three unsignposted paths (Seestraße, Wiesenweg and Strandweg) leading from the village down to the lake.

There is also a small nature campsite on the eastern shore, which fits wonderfully into this quiet, idyllic atmosphere.

The best way to get to Menz is by train and then by bike from Fürstenberg (approx. 15km) or Rheinsberg (approx. 12km).
