Route : Wensickendorf, Wandlitz, Ützdorf, Lanke, Biesenthal, Melchow

Route description: The hike also takes you through four towns: Wandlitz, a traditionally popular excursion destination, Lanke with the old castle in the castle park, the former climatic health resort of Biesenthal and Melchow with the Nature Park railway station. There is much to discover. In Wandlitz, we recommend exploring the different parts of the town: the old village with the BARNIM PANORAMA and the ambience around the listed railway station with park and the popular Wandlitzsee lido. Varied short tours and walks are also available from Wandlitzsee station. The neighbouring village of Lanke also belongs to old settlements. The overgrown park at the former Lanke Castle is particularly charming, and the bathing area at Obersee is highly recommended. You can enjoy the beautiful landscape around Biesenthal from the lookout tower on the old castle grounds or take a dip in Lake Wuken before the trail ends in Melchow.

Places of interest:

  • Lanke: Castle and Castle Park
  • Melchow: Nature Park railway station
  • Wandlitz: Barnim Panorama, railway station, lido
  • Biesenthal: Observation tower on the castle grounds
