Peetschsee circular route

Around the Stechlinsee, one of the most beautiful clear-water lakes in northeast Germany, hiking trails invite you to actively relax. Thus, the tour from Neuglobsow along the Dagowsee via Dagow and around the Peetschsee, a real "insider tip" is recommended.

Arrival / Departure:

• Public transport: From Berlin main station with the RE5 (Rostock) to Fürstenberg / Havel. From here, continue with bus 839 to Neuglobsow (approx. 1h 45 minutes).
• By car: From Berlin via the B96, L222 and L15 to Neuglobsow (approx. 1.5 h).

Route: From Neuglobsow via Dagow around Lake Peetsch and back. In Dagow, a detour to the historic cemetery with the Metas Ruh burial vault already described by Fontane is highly recommended. Continue a short climb to Augustablick, which offers the first beautiful view of Lake Peetsch; it is also a wonderful covered resting place. Afterwards, along the shore, enjoy the crystal-clear lake. At the end of the lake there is a place to stop for refreshments in Steinförde. The trail leads back along the north-western shore of the Peetschsee.
