Discover nature and culture by bike, 365 km (route length in Germany)
The Berlin-Copenhagen cycle path connects two European capitals on its total of approx. 680 kilometers and "(mis)leads" its companions to a true natural and cultural delight. A first stop - after the start in Berlin - is the city of Oranienburg with its baroque castle and the Sachsenhausen memorial site located nearby. Along the way are the Havel town of Liebenwalde, Zehdenick with its Cistercian monastery and - for fans of industrial culture - the Mildenberg Brickworks Park. Other places worth seeing are Himmelpfort with its Christmas house and the water town of Fürstenberg/Havel. From there, a detour to the Ravensbrück Memorial is recommended. Before continuing on to Mecklenburg, cyclists can enjoy the idyllic setting of the legendary, crystal-clear Stechlinsee lake.
Route signs
The "Berlin-Copenhagen Cycle Route" logo serves as the route designation.
Trail condition/track development
