Oder-Havel Cycle Route

Along the Finow Canal between the Oder and Havel rivers, 63 km

With its 63 kilometres, the cycle path connects the Oder with the Havel. The path begins in the small town of Liebenwalde and leads from the connection of the long-distance cycle path "Berlin-Copenhagen" through beautiful forest and lake areas to the Oder. In places it accompanies the 400-year-old Finow Canal on the so-called "Treidelweg", passes unique industrial culture in Eberswalde and reaches the ship lifts in Niederfinow. At the end point in Hohensaaten there is a connection to the Oder-Neisse Cycle Path.

Trail condition/track construction

Except for a few kilometres, the cycle path is excellently developed. Long sections are on asphalt roads.
