Cycling
Those who like to pedal will find well-developed cycle paths in the north of the Brandenburg Lake District, signposted according to uniform standards. The selection includes sections of international routes such as Berlin - Copenhagen, historic connections such as the Queen Luise Route or state-wide routes such as the Tour Brandenburg and the Havel Cycle Path.
So, stay in step and use the cycle paths in the Mecklenburg and Brandenburg Lake District for active recreation! Our region has a wide, very well-developed network of cycle paths, on which skating is also possible on some sections. Most of the cycle paths are closed to car traffic. Many circular routes are available. In addition, visitors can use the junction system for their route planning. This allows individual routes to be put together by cycling by numbers. Here you can get an overview of the map in the Oberhavel district.
We have been publishing our own cycling brochure for our region since 2011. Now the successful map has been published in its third edition. It shows the variety of options for cyclists in the north of Brandenburg - whether for day trippers or passing through on an international route. The map describes some of the most beautiful tours between Fürstenberg/Havel, Himmelpfort, Zehdenick. Gransee and Neuglobsow are described. You also get tips for sights worth stopping at. A new addition to the map is the connection between Gransee and Schulzendorf, which now provides a direct route to Lake Stechlin by bike.
You can view the brochure online and print it out here. The map is also available for visitors and locals at the tourist information offices in Fürstenberg/Havel, Stechlin, Neuglobsow and Zehdenick.
