Himmelpfort

"Coeli porta!" - Himmelspforte (Heaven's Gate) is what Brother Otto is said to have called out in 1299, when he was able to look down from a hill onto the beautiful landscape that offered itself to his gaze on the narrow tongue of land between Lakes Stolp, Haus, Moderfitz and Sidow in what is now Himmelpfort. A place far away from world events, from big traffic roads, so quite suitable to receive people in need of recreation. To Himmelpfort, located in the district of Oberhavel and in the state of Brandenburg, in the immediate vicinity of Fürstenberg/Havel (8 km) you can get by bus and by car from Fürstenberg/Havel via the main road/side road to Templin and by water via the Stolpsee and the federal waterway Obere Havel.
