Hiking in winter: Around the Hegensteinbach

In order to be in nature on foot, to breathe the forest and to come to rest, a hike along the Hegensteinbach on the outskirts of our water town Fürstenberg/Havel is a good idea. If you take a closer look, you will see that the beaver is doing a great job in this area. Display boards provide information about the flora and fauna of the biotope. Since 2013, the tour is again completely possible, because a dilapidated bridge was renewed. For this excursion, into the untouched nature, the hiker should plan about 2 hours of time.

Trail conditions: uneven in places, slight inclines, medium difficulty and route description: The hike begins at the market, passes the castle and palace, along the B 96 to the right into Ravensbrücker Dorfstraße at the turnoff to Himmelpfort. It continues past horse paddocks to the first bridge of the Hegensteinbach stream. The trail continues along the picturesquely situated brook.
