How about a "Tarta de Zanahoria" (carrot cake) or the ever-popular "Pan con Oli" (bread with tomato, cheese and olive oil), for example? The café is located at the former estate ensemble of Rauschendorf. To be more precise, it is the estate of the former castle gardener. It still exudes the mature serenity of a historic place. A 50-metre-long fieldstone wall adjoins the red brick house, on whose terrace and adjoining areas the coffee shop has been built. It shields the area from the village street, which is bordered on both sides by lime trees. In the sheltered garden area with its Mediterranean-looking pergola of blue-oaks, everyone finds their favourite spot with a distant view of the expansive landscape of the Mark Brandenburg.
Feel free to visit them by bike - Theo's Gartencafé is only 800 metres from the Fontane cycle path and will open on 14 May. The diversions to Rauschendorf is well worth it. An open-air cinema series is planned as a cultural offer. Films on the theme of travel will be shown. Many a film adventure can be experienced up close under the stars.
