An electric charging station with two charging points, each with a capacity of up to 22 kilowatts, is now available in the central car park. In order to "fill up" at the charging station, one of the things that can be used is an EMB charging card, which EMB offers in several variants for private and commercial customers. These RFID cards not only allow easy access to EMB charging stations at any time, but also to the charging points of over 220 Ladenetz.de partners and many roaming partners. But spontaneous charging without a special card is also possible. To do this, you scan a QR code on the charging station with your smartphone and start the charging process online. The actual consumption is billed.

The 22-kilowatt output enables the electric cars to be charged quickly - as long as they are prepared for it. The batteries of a Smart forfour eq, for example, would be filled in less than an hour, assuming an appropriate on-board charger. As is now standard, the charging points in Fürstenberg/Havel are equipped with the Type 2 plug. The Mennekes charging station was installed by the company Thomas Stange Elektrik from Gransee, which is also responsible for maintenance and technical support. Monitoring of the charging point is covered by NBB Netzgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg, which can be reached daily around the clock via its network control centre.
