Exactly one month ago, an auditor from the German Tourism Association (DTV) visited the tourist information office, incognito and unannounced. She looked around, questioned the employee on a wide variety of topics, just as guests do, and only revealed herself afterwards. "Above all, she praised the good equipment, the connection of the regional store and the Infopoint, the friendliness and the time that the employee had taken for each individual guest despite a large crowd," says Gabriele Sacher, head of the tourist information. To be able to advertise with the trademark, at least 67 percentage points must be achieved. There is particularly great interest in information about cycling, hiking and water tourism, as well as regional products and events in the region. The lake district has a wide range of opportunities to offer here. The team of the tourist information is very pleased about this award, but will of course continue to work steadily on a qualitative service on site. A new audit will take place in June 2026.
