Cafè - Bistro "Alte Reederei

The restaurant in the "Alte Reederei" cultural inn is set in a historic building of the former power station at the weir. With its two riverside terraces, it is located directly on the Havel.

The Kulturgasthof "Alte Reederei" is a family-run holiday and leisure centre directly on the Havel, not far from the town centre of Fürstenberg. Here you will find some hotel rooms, flats and holiday flats for your holiday or even just for an overnight stay during your hiking tour on foot or by bike, car or canoe.

The accommodation is grouped on a lovingly and imaginatively landscaped garden plot in different parts of the building. In addition, there are common rooms, a garden kitchen, the restaurant with its good cuisine and the two terraces on the banks of the river, the "water house" with sauna, lounge for the house guests and platform above the Havel, as well as the small cinema on the upper floor of the cyclists' hostel, where small cultural events and also yoga and Feldenkrais courses take place.

The pub is always the venue for interesting small cultural interludes: readings, painting activities (in the water house), a salsa class on Saturday evenings and game nights when guests bring their board or parlour games. Chess is a serious sport every Thursday in the cinema. The International Evenings build bridges between cultures with readings from different parts of the world and a matching four-course meal. The Sunday "Brantsch" is a feast for the ears and the palate with live music. And a ride on the "Hermine" rounds off the sunset over the lake with a glass of wine or offers bathing and picnic fun for the whole family.
