Rheinsberg Palace Theater

The Rheinsberg Castle Theater, idyllically situated on Lake Grienerick and the neighboring castle, is a sought-after venue for concerts, drama and musical theater, cinema and readings. 

The annual highlight in the summer is the "Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg", the international festival for the promotion of young opera singers. In addition to the palace theater, the palace courtyard and other locations on the picturesque grounds are also used. The Easter Festival is based on the tradition of the Court of the Muses of Princes Frederick and Henry, who helped the town blossom culturally over 200 years ago. This spirit can still be felt today.

The castle theater in the historic Kavalierhaus also serves as a performance venue for the Rheinsberg Music Academy: the training and further education center with guest house offers amateur and professional musicians master classes as well as music education projects for people of all ages. In addition, the two resident ensembles of the Music Academy, which are elected every year, give concerts in the castle theater: the "Rheinsberger Hofkapelle" (Rheinsberg Court Orchestra) is based on the historical court orchestra of Frederick the Great; the second ensemble is dedicated to contemporary music and its forms of performance.

The Rheinsberg Castle Theater, the Rheinsberg Music Academy and the Rheinsberg Castle Chamber Opera are united under the umbrella of Musikkultur Rheinsberg gGmbH.
