The former school building in Dorfstraße in the Zehdenick district of Kappe houses the local history museum, founded in 1969, opposite the church. Exhibits and documents shed light on the history of schools, associations and shipping. Many everyday objects from past centuries as well as a precious document from 1873 are part of the exhibition.

The museum is run by Detlef Grothe on a voluntary basis. A visit is possible by prior appointment under tel. 03307/3 68 46.
