Jewish cemetery Zehdenick

A place of remembrance - the Jewish cemetery in Zehdenick. Established in 1766, it still leaves the traces of a community that developed into the largest community in Brandenburg by the middle of the 19th century. When the Jewish community dissolved towards the end of the 19th century, the cemetery was closed in 1898.

It fell into disrepair over time and was devotedly restored by pupils from Zehdenick from 1996 onwards. The ceremonial rededication of the "Good Place" took place in 1998.

The gate is locked today, but the grounds are easy to see. Anyone who wants to visit the cemetery can borrow the key from the Tourist Information Office, Am Markt 11 in Zehdenick.
