To be in nature on foot, a hike along the Hegensteinbach stream on the edge of the water town of Fürstenberg/Havel is a good idea. A closer look reveals that the beaver is doing a great job in this area. Herons, cranes and kingfishers also feel at home here! Information boards inform about flora and fauna of the biotope.

Start / Finish: Fürstenberg/Havel, information board at the Ravensbrücker Dorfstraße / Weidendamm intersection

- Public transport: From Berlin main station with the RE5 to Fürstenberg / Havel (approx. 1h).
- Car: From Berlin via A111 and B96 to Fürstenberg / Havel (approx. 1.5h), parking lot at Weidendamm just before Gut Fürstenberg
Route: The hike leads past horse paddocks, to the first bridge of the Hegensteinbach. The trail continues along the picturesque stream.
