Start your tour in the water town of Fürstenberg/Havel, which rightly bears its name: The city is located on three islands surrounded by arms of the Havel River. More than half of the city's area consists of water. Santa Claus is already waiting for you in the nearby resort town of Himmelpfort! If he is not there in person, you can visit his living room and hand in your wish list. Following the course of the river, you will discover numerous circular lakes in Mildenberg. For more than 100 years, clay was quarried here for nearby Berlin. The banks of the former clay pits are now overgrown with reeds, the many brickworks closed. The Mildenberg Brickworks Park tells of the clay mining and brick production of that time. In Zehdenick, the monastery ruins await a visit. Follow the Havel further to Oranienburg and wave to the numerous houseboaters on your Havel tour. Princes and electors resided in Oranienburg, the cycle path leads directly past Oranienburg Castle, the most important baroque castle in the Mark Brandenburg.
