Zaaren lock
Die Schleuse Zaaren ist Teil der Oberen Havel-Wasserstraße. Diese Wasserstraße stellt die Verbindung zwischen Berlin und der Mecklenburgischen Seenplatte her und ist entsprechend bedeutend für den Wassertourismus in der Brandenburgischen Seenplatte. Mit der Modernisierung im Jahr 2019 wurde die Schleuse auf Automatikbetrieb umgerüstet und kann nun von den Wasserurlaubern selbst bedient werden.

The lock is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Epiphany, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, New Year's Eve.
