Himmelpfort lock
The lock is part of the Lychen waterway. It equalises the water level to Lake Stolpsee, which is part of the Upper Havel Waterway (OHW). The first lock at this location was built in 1752 when the Woblitz was made navigable. From 1779 to 1782, the lock was built according to Finow dimensions and rebuilt in 1976. The facility is a self-service lock and is maintained by the Eberswalde Waterways and Shipping Office.
